Mold remediation from water damage in bathroom

Pictured here is a very common issue most people arent aware they have. Mold under flooring around a toilet is in a lot of homes. You cant see it or smell it because the flooring is covering the mold and sealing the smell. The only way you would know about it is if your sub floor begins to rot and the floor becomes soft when you stand around it or if you happen to have a water damage in the bathroom and your flooring needs to come out anyways which would result in you discovering the mold and or rot in the sub floor.

In this particular circumstance the homeowner had a small leak from the toilet, and we had to remove some of the flooring in order to dry the sub floor and that is when we discovered the mold. Luckily we caught it in time before the floor started to rot. We use SERVPRO brand product to remove and or kill and mold spores, and then you must seal the stain to prevent any further mold growth. After we do that we can then proceed with the dry out because you cant put air movement from fans on exposed mold or it will spread the spores throughout the room or your home.
